Lynchburg, VA – The Lynchburg Association of Realtors with over 620 real estate agents servicing the areas of Lynchburg and surrounding counties held their January meeting on Saturday evening at the Kirkley Hotel. The Association installed 2016 Association President Robert Dawson Owner/Principal Broker of Dawson Ford Garbee Realtors, Inc. a locally owned and operated real estate firm in Lynchburg since 1905.
Robert Dawson brings a multitude of experience to the Lynchburg Association with over 30 years in the real estate industry. Robert has served in almost every capacity of the Lynchburg Association of Realtors including serving on the Board of Directors.
Robert began his career in 1981 and quickly made his mark on the real estate industry by receiving the “Rookie of the Year” award in 1983, obtained the LAR Level of Excellence Awards multiple years and “Sales Associate of the Year” in 1990.
In 1995 Robert purchased the Ford Garbee Company and merged his own company to create what is now Dawson Ford Garbee & Co. Realtors, Inc. Starting out with 4 agents the company has now grown to over 65 agents with 2 locations and sells over 110 million in annual sales. Dawson Ford Garbee sells 2 homes on average every day.
Also in attendance Bill White current 2016 Virginia Association of Realtors who presided over the installation. Other special guests included many past presidents of the Virginia Association of Realtors and also the Roanoke Association of Realtors.
It truly was a special evening for the Lynchburg Association of Realtors celebrating their new President and honoring decades of past president’s many who were in attendance.
